RSS Just FYI
Filed in BlogI’m rather tired. There are also multiple other things demanding my attention, including finishing up an article for publication, Christmas shopping, fetching JR’s special cat food, and finding plumbing parts. I’m using my time to figure out my blogging road map for 2008 and to take a little time to just “be.” The long dark nights take their toll and I’m really looking forward to the solstice with its return to the light.
Had a wonderful morning/afternoon out with Amber today. It involved coffee, books, shopping, a late and luscious lunch at Strings (Italian restaurant chain)–and a wealth of unexpected goodies in Cost Plus. They had real British Christmas cake and mince pies, selection boxes :: gasp:: salad cream, and German marzipan chocolates. How I love marzipan. For once I didn’t just hedge sensibly and buy a small box: I bought the biggest box they had…and all of the above. :)
The P3 opportunities are now few and far between, but that’s okay. I notice that there are opps, some of them rather good; I am just not in the mood for sitting there hitting reload every few minutes to catch a few crumbs. Not doing this work gives me a chance to work on cleaning things up like getting on top of my email accounts and Markeroni backlog. This in turn helps free my mind from clutter.
This has always been a reflective time of year and I like to use it in thinking about what I want to do next. Tomorrow I will set up the 2008 Markeroni Challenge, finish my article, and fetch more JR-food.
So, if I’m not around much, don’t worry–not that I expect anyone would, given how busy everyone else is, too. I am just getting ready for 2008, and feeding my cat. ;)
