What’s Shaking
Filed in Britain 2006The weather’s turned, and I don’t know what will happen with longer trips. I think we missed our slot, waiting for stupid BT to turn up and fix the DSL. It took three weeks, but we were finally up and running again yesterday.
So that’s where I’ve been. I’m going to update a little here, then do some Markeroni work. One minute it’s raining and one minute it’s shining, but the wind is blowing and the leaves are turning to their rainbow form. And, of course, there are sky rainbows to go with the changeable weather. Pray for something nice next Monday or Tuesday; I still hope to go to Orkney.
My plans are very much in disarray. The day after I booked my flight down to Luton, I find out that my friend in Hitchin is now training up in Leeds, having landed a dream job. My budget doesn’t stretch to a trip up north and a trip to Ipswich/London, especially since I shall now probably have to catch the train to Heathrow. If anyone in the southern region is willing to meet me either in London or, better still in Hitchin or Stevenage, please let me know. I have been talking of a trip to Yorkshire for some while now, and I’ll probably go that way.
Will be flying down south on the 27th, anyway.
