Hi guys! I’m going to keep this brief because I’m using one of those despicably expensive phone cards – I’m not in “no cell phone” land, which is actually most of Nevada if you ever look at a coverage map.

I made it to Hawthorne, Nevada, which is a little conservative town surrounded by an army base…it’s got a casino, it’s got lots of hotels and motels, but the one place with wireless, they told me that the wireless sometimes, well, it relies on a router from some other place, and when it gets windy, it stops working. And apparently, it wasn’t working, which was a shame. So I still can’t get online, which is getting to be…oh, I don’t know, I’m just a little bit addicted! I feel out of touch.

Anyway, I had a nice ride, got up at a ridiculously early time of the morning. By default, I couldn’t sleep. So I did about 160 miles today and am going to work my way north and northeast tomorrow. So anyway, maybe I’ll be able to get online in Austin. You never know. Yep. I’m very tired, my brain doesn’t work, and I’m kind of more in “doing laundry” mode and going to sleep, so I think I’ll leave it. At least you know that I arrived safely. I am, actually, having fun. You wouldn’t believe the variety of landscapes I’ve seen in this 160 short miles today.

OK, so maybe I’ll catch up with you all tomorrow. Bye!
