Hi guys! Well, I finally figured out that my wireless inside my laptop is receiving, but not transmitting, which means that it can’t connect to anything, no matter how many rain dances I do or how many times I say ‘poot’ at it or how many hours I spend doing tech support conversations with Don.

So I’m not going to be able to use wireless until I get home, and maybe not even then. We’ll see. Don’s going to try to set up something I can dial up with so I can at least do a little bit of answering and stuff. But, oh well!

Anyway, here’s yet another of those boring ‘I have arrived safely’ posts. I have arrived safely in Twin Falls, Idaho. I get a distinct feeling from the wyrd that I shouldn’t have actually attempted this trip into Idaho in the first place, but I guess my guardian angels were keeping me safe by at least giving me the warning sign saying “turn back because there’s fires”.

I don’t know where, or what, I’m going to do; I need to be home before the 1st, or on the 1st, so (something) by the end of the first part. I’m going to look at some maps and figure out what I can get away with, it’s quite obvious that I’m going to have to abandon the “do everything” route I had planned. But then again, that’s the way the cookie crumbles.

I’m just greedy for historical markers , y’know, I want to do it all!

But anyhow, I’ll do my best. I’ll probably work my way along the interstate tomorrow and then I’ll figure out the rest when I get home.

Anyway, despite all this, I am, in fact, having fun – I’ve seen some glorious countryside , I’ve seen some beautiful sunrises — which I never see in real life — and I really am leaving at first thing in the morning.

I survived the traverse of the gravel driveway , which…to say I’ve been down some intensely lonely roads all by myself and hardly batted an eyelid, left me at the bottom jibbering with fear. I really hate riding on dirt. Hate hate hate hate hate!

OK, well, that’s enough of that. But apart from that, I am really having fun. And I will talk to you some point in the future, when something is set up, even if I have to borrow someone else’s computer or hire one I can code or something. Bye!
