Tumbling trespasser

Tumbleweeds were accidentally introduced from Russia, and are so sturdy that they’re now a major pest. Every so often as I walk down the street one follows me. They seem to have a sense of humor: this one’s been stuck to its “no trespassing” sign for several days, now.

I didn’t know about the Russian connection either. They are just such a part of the “Old West” that it’s hard to imagine them coming from somewhere else.
