Thursday 13 #20: Thirteen Things I did today

Filed in Blog

I am having one of those uninspired, headachey, blah kinds of days. I therefore have no inspiration. I’m sure I can come up with thirteen things I did today, though.

  1. I saw dawn, blearily, and briefly. It was gray.

  2. I did laundry. There was a lot. It took a long time. Some of that was gray, too. (The laundry, not the time.)

  3. I wrote a little program that tells me which number snarf comes next. Actually, it’s more that I rewrote an existing program. As time has gone by gaps have appeared in the numbering of landmarks at Markeroni as they were recategorized. I hate gaps, and this is saving me a lot of time.

  4. I re-learned how to put a trickle charger on my motorcycle. The negative crocodile clip fell off and I couldn’t figure out how come I wasn’t getting a spark. My grasp of physics is at the pre-school level, I think.

  5. I wrote two paid posts.

  6. I did the washing up that I’d been ignoring for two days.

  7. I went (with Don) to do the recycling. Don strapped the big bag of cans on his bike and I had the box with plastic and glass. The recycling guy was a little startled and said he’d never had anyone bring recycling on motorcycles before. He also told me where I could recycle paper locally. Yay!

  8. I rummaged in the storage shed and actually found everything I was looking for, namely mailing boxes, a large envelope, my rainproof pants (which also happen to be very thick and warm) and a night shirt.

  9. I counted forty-two different flavors of Fancy Feast at the pet shop. Forty-two!!! I bought twenty-four. The checker had to check each one individually since they were all different flavors. She was quite graceful about it. Next time, I will take all the flavors from the bottom row.

  10. I fed JR. He likes Fancy Feast trout dinner.

  11. I bought paper towels, Snapeas, pineapple rings and tapioca at the supermarket. I forgot to buy milk. I had trouble figuring out which towels to pick from the million different choices. I exchanged “boy, it’s hard to choose” notes with the woman in the same aisle having the same trouble.

  12. I froze my buns off coming home. It’s cold at night!

  13. I warmed my buns up again back at home.

I bought some Fancy Feat yesterday too. But one can only. No point in spoiling these cats!

After our wondrous vet adventures, we were advised to feed JR nothing but FF. It’s very moist, keeping things “going” if you’ll pick up the double entendre. ;)

Let me phrase it this way. He couldn’t pee for four days. This will help that not to happen again.

Not my first choice. It’s a pain to fight off the other two cats, and the stuff is *expensive*.

I’m sorry to hear about your cat. I think our cat had the same problem and now he either has to eat special urinary-kind dry food or wet food. But we were relieved that he’s ok. He’s a special cat.

I hope you get to feeling better today! Thanks for visiting…

Ah, good old Fancy Feast. I can’t believe that kitties have that many flavors to choose from!

The crystals thing is apparently fairly common in cats…so far so good with our boy.

Hi Linda. Sorry I wasn’t able to come by here last week. I hope you don’t mind if I make it up today.

It seems like you had a busy Thursday last week. It’s cool that you ride a motorcycle.

    You’ve been busy!
Thanks for visiting my magic quotes TT last week. Sorry I’m this late with my return visit; I got the flu! :-(
