What are those buckets?

“Why are there buckets up there?” I wanted to know. Don took a look.
“They’re transformers,” he said.
I still think they totally look like buckets. ;)

We have some here that look like giant orange beach balls. They make me giggle.

They are called distribution transformers and they step down the current and voltage to something homes can use. Inside there are coils of wire.
