“Well, here I am, in Kingman, AZ, having had the interesting experience of having my motorcycle towed…(something I couldn’t make out because of wind or static)…. the problem is very simple. Basically, before I bought the motorcycle, I dropped it…(more static)…we were trying to replace the footpeg before I left, but I couldn’t find one in stock, just because I left things til the last minute.

Anyway, as the motorcycle goes along the highway and heats up, the shifter (something mumble) got bent but we didn’t know this at the time, locks up, it basically siezes…so I called when I couldn’t get into first and second gear, let alone neutral…it got worse and worse.

I got it towed to the local Suzuki shop because there just so happened to be one five miles away; you see, my timing is impeccable and the guy wasn’t working on anything else, he put the thing straight up on the stand and is currently in the process of fixing it. I don’t see any problem wrong with it; I’m gonna be fine and I shall know in the next half-hour.

I’m going to stay in Kingman, AZ tonight and I’m going to do Route 66 tomorrow if everything’s OK. Then I’ll probably go straight up to the Grand Canyon tomorrow, so I’m not really that far behind schedule and there should be an update later on tonight. At least for once I’m going to be in a town early enough to be able to explore it a little! So that’s it, bye!”
