Thursday Thirteen: #2 — 13 Random Things on a Hot Day
Filed in Blog- I'm glad we're not at the storage shed today. It may be 90 here, but it's 100 there.
- None of the copious amounts of water I have put in my body today has come out in the usual digestive sense.
- I haven't seen any cats all day–not the inside ones, not the outside ones. They must have melted.
- It is not a good day to have run out of ice cream.
- T-shirts soaked in water make a good cooler.
- T-shirts soaked in water really make one wince for the first few seconds.
- Sometimes, cold showers are nice.
- Lying on the sofa doing nothing seems appropriate.
- Data entry for Markeroni is about the level of my brain right now. Consequently, Denver is done.
- It's a good job I spoke to the bank, who charged me $4 for the privilege of using a “foreign” atm, in the morning before it got too hot.
- Oh, so that's where the cats are. (One just crawled out of the closet and collapsed in my doorway. The journey of ten steps ends with a single flop.)
- Everything is sticky.
- I can haz ice cream?

I’m brand new on the Thursday 13, so I was checking some of the other 13ers out. #3 made me laugh. I have cats. But since I live in Vancouver, BC, they don’t melt much.

Hi OpenChannel! Yeah, I suspect that Vancouver has a similar kind of climate to my homeland, England. A few stifling days, but overall…not.

My husband and I are owned by two disapproving cats: http://theaccidentalnovelist.blogspot.com/2007/05/disapproving-cats.html
I just read more of your bio. I used to have a lovely red Yamaha YX600 Radian. I had to sell it (for several reasons).
I actually know where Livermore is. I grew up in Concord, CA. I moved to Canada 4 years ago when I married a Canadian.
I was in London for the first time over the holidays and loved it. Loved it, loved it.
I am also a huge fan of landmark-snarfing, although I had never heard it called that. I’m glad to know. Alas, I haven’t been on a road trip in over a year. I’m overdue.
I have decided that you rock.

So, come on down to Markeroni :-)
That’s cool to have a few things in common. As for me, I love the disapproving cats and bunnies. Have you noticed how cat noses look like bunny noses from certain angles? It must be a conspiracy.
And as for the rest…aww, shucks. :: shuffles feet ::
