Ok, not too exciting, but after insomnia that didn’t let me sleep until five in the morning, it’s as good as it’s getting for this week.

1. Silver. She is currently lying on my filing tray with her tail hanging off the back and her head nodding off to sleep over the front. Silver, lest you didn’t figure this out, is a cat.
2. The latest edition of Women on Wheels® magazine, partially read.
3. A Far Side mug full of pencils, pens, etc. The cartoon is “It's a fax from your dog, Mr. Dansworth. It looks like your cat.”
4. A talking Woody Doll from Toy Story. I always could relate to Woody.
5. A rapidly shrinking tin of caffeinated mints.
6. A thermos with the insulating bits missing. I left the flask behind while I flew from Albuquerque, NM to Austin, TX and when I came back it had been washed out, but I left the bits behind when I left for good and they never made it back to California.
7. My “everything” notebook where I scribble down those thoughts of things I must do that are lost about 0.0000001 second later. I started using it after I got sick of writing it on the back of old postcards. There were lots of old postcards.
8. A postcard my parents sent from Slovenia. They chose it because it had a bunch of ravens circling. I have cool parents. :)
9. Two mint green ponytail holders. (There may be more, hiding.)
10. A super-soaker.
11. One of about 20 million rolls of sticky tape. We are, after all, moving.
12. An old check box stuffed with things like stamps and Book Crossing patches and shipping labels and all the fiddly little things you just don't want rampaging across your desk.
13. A bottle of ibuprofen. I can't remember what I was taking it for. I may not have been taking it at all, it could be leakage from my first aid kit because heaven knows some surreal stuff ends up here.
