Those long weeks are stretching ahead: the summer vacation. Every stay at home parent I know dreads them– maybe not immediately, but certainly by the time the “back to school” signs start going up. ;)

If you’re on the Eastern seaboard or heading out that way, there are plenty of things to do in New Jersey. The Morey’s Piers theme park has a Disney concert series coming up on July 7th, 14th and 21st. It’s free, and we’re not talking Mickey Mouse and those singing squirrels here: these are real live artistes. The finale is with Raven Symone, from “That’s So Raven,” and a showing of the latest Disney movie, “College Road Trip.”

There are special deals for those attending the season finale, which is on July 26th; you’ll need to pick up tickets for this one, but these tickets give you discounts off a range of all-day passes, so you can wear the kids out by turning them upside down, round and round and into whole new dimensions on the 89 rides, and then go hear the music. (Morey’s Piers is the largest amusement park in the state of New Jersey.)
