This is what Weaverville is supposed to look like

Weaverville

Here’s Weaverville, looking up towards the mountains up highway 299. This is intermittently closed off, now, as the fire cavorts and fire-fighting efforts increase. But man…isn’t it beautiful up here?

Oooh. Bluish skies. We’re having similar weather here.

Back in 2005 we drove through Weaverville on the 299 from Redding heading towards Eureka. Near Weaverville there is the tiniest rest stop but it’s very pretty.

I was unclear…this was taken before the forest fires. It’s still very smoky up here, though I did see stars for the first time in ten days last night!

I’m familiar with the Moon Lim Lee rest area. It even has a snarf. :)
