The wall
Filed in BlogI feel as though I haven’t been putting up my usual quality or even quantity of articles this week. I’m certainly behind with commenting. I have hit a wall, probably because my time off was spent doing anything but relaxing. I’ve had a few too many days with the candle burning at both ends, and to top it off my fingers are sore. It would appear that my age is catching up with me–though I notice a distinct upswing in how strong I feel and how much stamina I have!
Anyway, I get a genuine day off tomorrow…a trip to San Francisco to visit some very old net friends for the first time. One is from Sweden and the others, AFAIK, are from Ohio. I’m going to ride to Daly City and take the BART. I’m not quite alert enough to handle SF traffic and hills, so I’ll meet things halfway and do the less technically demanding freeway part to give myself a ride out, then use my feet.
I will see if I can schedule a writing/lounging day on Monday, my next day off after that.
But anyway, sorry I haven’t been keeping up with the interesting posts. They are interesting to write, as well, and keep my mind happy. But after a few ill-advised late nights, I’m sufficiently exhausted that I can’t write much in the evenings any more.
Oh, and why am I typing this so late? Because I can’t drop off to sleep, that’s why. Insomnia is nature’s way of messing with your head.
Some interesting dates:
September 23: the store opens.
September 30: official grand opening.
Midnight, October 1: we have to be out of here.

Hey, ya know we’ve ALL been there. Sometimes it your brain just isn’t connecting with your fingertips and sitting down is a chore. I figure it all comes back around eventually and the more you type the more you feel the bad vibes flowing out of you!

Thanks Kelly :) I know that doing more helps but sometimes lately I’m just too exhausted to do the things I love best. I hope that gets better soon.
