Despite it being a Saturday and the RV dealerships being mostly closed, we found and replaced our valve, then waited out the rain in Lathrop.

One day it was the right time to go home, and so we set up shop and headed up the Interstate.

And then, just a few hundred feet further, you’d see a perfectly irrigated field, bright, green and fresh. Never did figure out what they were growing, though.

Coming out of our campground in Terminous, we’d often find scenes like this. The dry earth is churned up by big machinery, creating chimneys of dust everywhere we went. Quick, close the windows!

The drone of an airplane woke me up that morning. Westgate Landing campground is surrounded by fields, and this little plane was dusting the crops. It went over and over dozens of times.

I gather that the waterways here are Little Potato Slough and the Mokelumne River, and I think this is the river. Terminous is a tiny place where goods used to packed for shipping on the water. After a day or so of parking lot “camping” we tried out a little campground at Terminous.
