Today’s beavertail pictures were taken yesterday. It was desperately hot today, giving us a taste of things to come.

I rescued a bee that was crawling on my knee, did some writing and programming, and had an early start.

I worked on some different stuff today, and went out to observe the aftermath of the storm. It looks as though our pet ocotillo is about to hatch flowers.
There and back again
I did work, found it hard to complete work, then went for a hike. After that attitude readjustment, I completed work.
Seaweed-strewn
16 February 2009: The storm had thrown up swathes of seaweed. That stuff used to freak me out when I was a kid…the texture is just plain weird. Now, it’s just part of the sea-thing.
Cotton tails
As I rode by one day I noticed that there were fluffy seed-bearing things beside the driveway. So I went back to take a look and some pictures. Here they are!
Spiky things
These spiky things grow everywhere. I have no idea what they are; they look like dead red-hot pokers. However, their leaves are succulent, almost furry.
