Filed in BlogI’m not sure how much longer I’ll be able to keep going tonight. The trouble with a customer service retail job is that it involves a lot of walking, and today was exceptionally walkative. I came home from work tired out, and even after a foot soak and long hot bath my feet and legs hurt and I’m exhausted.
We’ve decided to find a local storage shed for a month, and U-Haul all our junk into it. We will remove it to the other storage shed at more leisure.
My neighbors are moving into a hotel, and their yard sale was almost completely a wash. We have a long hard road ahead of us tomorrow. I’m almost done with the kitchen and should probably try to do what’s left of my office tonight.

Sorry the sale didn’t go well for your neighbors. I only just got your email but I wouldn’t have been able to make it. I’m stuck at home being nursemaid to a sick husband and sick (and teething baby). I was up all last night because my youngest was crying.
On our last move we did just what you described and put our remaining stuff in storage locally. It took us exactly a year to finally sort through it and move it out of the local storage to our new home.

I put my stuff in storage and never needed it. I finally gave it away.
