Sunday Morning
Filed in BX Convention 2007Sunday morning arrived too soon on the heels of late Saturday night (or early Sunday morning). Solittletime and I had multiple alarms set and just about made it down to the catered breakfast, which was decidedly yummy. I had tried grits for the first time on this trip and they were fine. I’m told that you're supposed to mix them up with stuff, but I didn’t see any ketchup. :: ducks, laughing::
At breakfast I sat alone at a table in a technique known as “soon lots of people you haven’t met yet will join you”. It worked! I met several new people as well as spending a bit more time with the fancyhorses. Had a nice chat with Inko who told me that hostels in the US often didn’t get the whole “single sex” idea. She also gave me a jar of Marmite on the general understanding that I might be one of the few people in the room who might enjoy it. ;-)
I gather that she’s traveled extensively, and it would be nice to have a longer chat with her sometime.
I was flaking out by this stage. Soooo very tired. I’ve been tired for months, and now I was tireder, but a happy kind of exhaustion from my annual bout of extroversion among Book Crossers. I sat through the talks about Book Crossing tech stuff and issues and found it quite interesting when I wasn’t zoning in and out of consciousness. ;-)
