Sparkling for Christmas
Filed in BlogI like Christmas tree lights, but I don’t like the electricity bill they generate, not to mention the heat. And they’re really not that great for the environment, when all’s said and done.
LED Christmas lights are far superior. They use a tenth of the energy, generate very little heat, are very durable, and last much, much longer. They might cost a bit more up front, but the savings more than makes up for it.
If only 20% of American households switched to LED holiday lights, we would save over 400GWh of electricity. I’m guessing that this would probably be enough to propel a small town through the entire thirty-day holiday season.
Wow.

I almost bought some orange LED lights for a Halloween decoration today. LEDs are nifty.
