41/48 Sherman
Filed in Blogathon 2007Sherman is either 15 or 16 now, and lives in Dominica. It’s a very rural community and it’s a long way to school. He tries hard, but studies don’t come naturally to him. I still believe he will make it through high school sooner or later, and I’m glad that he has the chance.
Sherman writes in English, is polite, and rather mellow. He appears to like that I ride a motorcycle. I don’t like this project as much as Sherman’s as they don’t send annual photographs like they are supposed to. But they do update with newsletters on the project, so it’s not like I lack news. It’s just that it means a lot to get a picture each year.
The kids love it when you send postcards and photos, btw. Sometimes I get postcards from Dominica. It looks like a beautiful place.

Linda, love hearing about the sponsored kids. We use to sponsor 3 little girls (one for each of my girls) long ago and all the kids got moved out of the program eventually. It was great to see.
