Shasta Dam

If I understood correctly, Shasta Dam is the second largest dam in the USA. If not, then it’s the second largest concrete dam.
Either way…dam!

It does look huge. How do they build these dams anyway? I mean, with all the water and all, how do they get down there to start building it?
