30/48 Seven favorite movies
Filed in Blogathon 2007- The Lord of the Rings series. Just beautifully done, by people enthusiastic about the subject matter, if not obsessive.
- Badder Santa. Chokingly bad taste with a positive message hidden behind really evil humor. Wonderful.
- The Lost Boys. Kiefer Sutherland as a vampire. Great music. There is something dreamlike about this movie, somehow possible.
- Almost Famous. Makes me think I could be a music writer. Fantastic music, too.
- Mr. Holland’s Opus. Only saw it once, but it was powerful and uplifting on so many different levels.
- 28 Days Later. Powerfully, scary, post-apocalyptic movie. Gritty, witty, and well-acted.
- Children of Men. As above. Got my heart pounding in the movie theatre. Very few movies do that for me any more.

I have not seen all of those, but I think I might add a few to my Netflix queue. Anyway, off to watch a movie now, I’ll be back in an hour or two! You’re doing wonderfully!

Good list! Seen all of them except No. 2. You’re hanging in pretty well, I see, as you head deeper in to the caffeine hours.

Hmmm, I adored #5, and liked #1 a LOT. Haven’t seen any of the others, but am getting very suspicious why our Netflix lists didn’t ’synch’ up more often.
Hang in there, dear.

Have to go give the husband a Tiger Balm treatment, but I’ll be back soon to cheer you on!

b.r.: What movie? Was it good?
bob: #2 is really nasty and sick and funny all at the same time. It wins because it’s actually human in the end.
Buffra: yes, it seemed very scary to me too.
AL17: I just cancelled Netflix…the other ones are all R rated, pretty violent–not your taste, I’d think.
Marina: hope he feels better soon. :)
