Santa Fe Part 3

Filed in Motorcycle Road Trips, Raven's Roads 2005

We parked a little outside the main area, which means it was a nice little walk alongside a stream to get to the central town, which is all southwestern architecture. (*)

We went past the Loretto Chapel (*), which wanted $2.50 to see the miraculous stair, so we decided to wait. I just calculated how much this trip cost…oops.

Then we wandered around downtown, which is full of historic buildings and interesting murals etc, and looked at the plaza (*). There were lots of Native American street vendors with jewellery and other neat stuff. Billy the Kid was held here in jail.

We had a coffee, which you already know about, and I found a little tucked away mall which ended up being a good find: there was a rubber stamp shop and it had several ravens, enough that it was hard to choose which ones I got!

Then we headed back past the church of St. Francis which was having its windows cleaned (*) and there was a huge labyrinth there, which took
Oakwoman aaaaaages to do with her coffee. ;-)
