Quiz night
Filed in BX Convention 2007I joined the quiz night and was so glad I did. I hooked up with two Book Crossers I'd never met before, PhotoGirl and GingerGrant. Buffra joined us, and then later on so did FloraFloraFlora. According to one of the other members, we won because we were unencumbered by testosterone. ;-)
The evening was riotously funny. You had to walk your answers over to the scorekeepers, and after a while “walks of confidence” took on epic proportions of silliness. The best was the impromptu conga. I have not laughed so hard or so long in a very long time.
Following this, we closed down the hotel bar, and had to hide behind a curtain. The hotel had been taken over by tuxedos and ballgowns, young kids who were entirely out of control. At one point one of the lads fell out of the elevator with his pants round his ankles. Yes, including the tightey whiteys. The staff were sick of them (eventually called in the cops) but they loved us and continued to serve us while refusing to serve the kids.

We won! We won!
