Much like the show itself, in fact :-)
The producers got so lucky there. So much of the humour in the show is unintentional but hilarious, it’s better than what so many script-writers can come up with. It needs to be on in the evening though, here in the UK it’s mostly shown in the day and I can’t have it on too much then as I’m working and it’s too much of a distraction.

Beautiful bike.

That makes me giggle. (Beautiful bike though.) I can’t help but think of a comic book my friend discovered: Battle Pope. Complete with Jesus sidekick. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_Pope

I’ve never seen the show–I don’t get cable or satellite and it’s never broadcast on normal TV. Do you get it on Sky over there?

PR: Sure is :)

BR: LOL! What will they think of next?!

It’s not Sky as such but it’s part of the package you get with it. You get Discovery Channel and so forth, Civilisation, History Channels which are quite genuinely educational.

Gotcha, Nanny! While living in motels the last couple of weeks we have had some of these interesting channels. It’s a rare treat.

Yeah, there’s a lot more over the airwaves than you might think. You could maybe see if other channels are available over the internet, I imagine everything will be eventually. The ultimate syndication, if you will.

Why were you in Motels? I lost a thread there I think.

Wow, this is a little strange. Day before yesterday, there was a big reply to that here. Then yesterday, there was a load of database errors displayed and now there’s no sign of that comment. Spooky, huh? :-)

When I had to roll back the database to the old version, the comment got eaten. Ah well, there are always some casualties…

Anyhoo, you were talking about life in your temporary accomodation and I replied to say that all homes need to be mobile now as it’s absurd taking the bulk of your capital, of all your life’s earnings, and plumbing it into the landscape. Then you get people able to move from Poland to Slough in the UK to work in the new factories there but they can’t move from Liverpool in the UK to Slough because they can’t unload their houses. You don’t hear politicians talk about that aspect, incidentally, you just hear them bang on about layabouts and work-shy etc.:-(
Plus they need to float, like the new ones they’re building in Holland, because in the UK they’re building on known flood-plains too.

It’s also absurd to pay four times what a mortgage would be in rent to someone else; there are many factors in this equation, but I’m kind of happy with my rolling home right now. :)
