O’Brien rest area
Filed in Blog, Photo Essays, RVing16 July 2008
It had been dark when we arrived here overnight, so we had little to no sense of the landscape. So when we woke up early on Wednesday morning, we were pleasantly surprised. The O’Brien rest area, just a few miles north of Shasta Lake, was very pretty.
Our nocturnal companions were lined up neatly as the sun rose.
I called Don to see where the southbound lane of I-5 was. Can you see that truck (the little white rectangle), way up on the hillside? There. ;)
We took one last look at the pretties and then were on our way.

Waking up to a view like that, sure is a great way to wake up.

That first picture is beautiful. You got it at the perfect time. Nice angle too. :)

Yeah, it was worth all the stomping around the shops the previous night that had us leaving after dark *grin*
