Noah, Noah built the Ark

Filed in Motorcycling, My Books

The rain continues to fall in biblical quantities. Today I rode to Alviso under a stormy sky, and met with my friend nemaihne. We had always suspected a mutually cracked sense of humour, and today it was confirmed. Yay.

Coming home was even more fun, as I aquaplaned for the first time. Luckily it was a low speed very close to home, but it was certainly “interesting” to lose all traction. A little while ago I watched “The Motorcycle Diaries” and there was a scene in the snow where the riders would go a little, fall off, go a little, fall off. I suppose it must’ve felt much the same way.

Nemaihne mentioned that her rain gear failed and she was very drippy by the time she got home.

Riding on the freeway in this quantity of rain sucks. It’s good that I can do it, but it does suck. I thought I left all that stuff behind in England.

In other news, my book is at the printer. Pre-sales will be starting very soon, so “watch this space”.
