Cutting the cost of the Big Apple
Filed in BlogI’ve always wanted to visit some of the sights in the Big Apple. Since I generally find bit cities overwhelming, I’d want to concentrate on the iconic attractions, as well as one big snarfari in Manhattan. The Statue of Liberty is awesome, and I’d love to see her just once.
If you know someone who might be making a trip to the city, a New York CityPass would be a good gift for them. Adult passes are $65 and youth passes are $49, so you pay only half the price of admission to The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the new Greek and Roman galleries, Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Guggenheim Museum and the American Museum of Natural History.
You even get a trip to the top of the Empire State Building Observatory and a tour of the Manhattan skyline from the water aboard a Circle Line Sightseeing Cruise. That latter would be my favorite, I think. I tend to get footsore in big museums but I’d love the Natural History Museum. ;)
With a map and information about “best time to visit,” you’d be all set for at least a week.

Hubby and I got the Toronto CityPass when we visited there last summer. It was worth it, and we didn’t even go to all of the attractions that came with it.

When my niece visited a couple of years ago we got the Toronto CityPass and it was a great deal. I would definitely get the New York one next time I am in New York for a few days. I’m determined to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art one of these days.

I think you in NYC could be very dangerous. I think if I went, my feet would fall off. ;)
