Magnolia

Don and I needed to go to Sears in Stockton, and I noticed that the magnolia were blossoming. These blooms are really huge, and gorgeous. I include an entire tree to give you some sense of scale. :)

Preeeettty! Magnolias smell good like nothing else.

Here’s hoping they’ll actually let that tree keep growing instead of tearing it up in a few years when they decide to do something else with the parking lot. The sight of parking-lot trees is always a little bittersweet for me.

As long as it doesn’t get too big…I wonder if they prune them down? There are lots of magnolias in Stockton.
