Lush greenery at Woodson Bridge

Lush greenery

When I went on the nature trail at Woodson Bridge, I was blown away by the incredible greenery. Layer upon layer of trees and grasses stacked up into an amazing network of living green. The air was full of birdsong and bug wings.

It was glorious.

I’ve read that when John Sutter (an Anglicization of his Swiss name) first sailed up the delta to arrive in/near Sacramento, he had a hard time finding a place to tie up his boat, as he couldn’t get onto land, through that jungle.
