In fact, he mostly did it for fun.
His autobiography, Just for Fun, is an interesting read. I’d review it for you, but it’s in a box somewhere.
I use Linux, sometimes reluctantly, but it’s the OS of choice around here. It’s becoming more and more mainstream with every day. Maybe one day I’ll read Linux For Dummies and will understand it better than being “just” a user.
Either way, it’s come a long, long way since 1.0.0, and it amuses me that the first non-beta version came out on my 24th birthday.
