The Women Who Ride Blogroll

I’ve heard that there are one million female motorcyclists in the USA, out of six million or more total. I have no idea how many are in the world. Either way, much as I love to wave at anyone on two wheels, I still get an extra thrill when I notice that the rider over there is another woman.

So wouldn’t it be grand for those of us in the blogosphere to get to know one another a bit better? This is a blogroll for female motorcyclists. It’s an easy way to bring women riders together and the extra links won’t hurt. :)

To view the blogroll, click the graphic above.

(We have a second blogroll, Blogging Bikers Blogroll–the two are not mutually exclusive!)

To join, just add this code somewhere on your page, then come back here to comment and you’ll get added:

Blogroll rules

  1. You will need to put this code on your site before we add your blog, and you will need to let me know when you have.

  2. You don’t have to use the linking graphic, but if you do, please don’t download it to your server. This is not because of copyright; it is because I have the graphic design skills of a gnat on speed and there’s always the possibility that someone will come up with a better graphic.

  3. If you prefer, you can also use the graphic to link to wherever you stash the blogroll on your site.

  4. If you don’t use the linking graphic, please be sure to put some kind of header/title stating “Women Who Ride Blogroll.”

  5. The link must be easy to find from your site: no more than two clicks away.

  6. If you remove the code, I will eventually figure it out and remove your site.

  7. Any blog written by a motorcyclist qualifies. So do bike-related websites. It doesn’t have to be 100% about bikes as long as it’s a blog written by a motorcyclist.

  8. For our purposes, biker = anyone who rides any motorcycle, trike or scooter, on front or on back, off-road or on-road, with or without sidecar, trailer, dog, fish tank, etc.

  9. If your site is commercial, it will need to have some original content such as essays.

  10. I will reject sites that promote hatred, prejudice, illegal stuff or warez.

  11. If your blog tends towards being x-rated, let me know and I’ll add an 18+ warning notice.

That’s it! Happy linking!

Only time will tell as to how popular this blogroll will become. Therefore, no promises on how quickly you’ll get linked back, but I will let you know when you are.
