Landmarks

Probably picked up 50 to 100 snarfs today, but these ones stand out.

The statue is of the signing of the treaty with the Comanche. It was not government sponsored, but local, and was one of the few treaties never broken by either side. This tableau gives me a shiver down my spine for some reason. It’s quite powerful to look upon.

The one with the spirals of copper was nifty. They catch the light prettily.

The bust of a man was the guy who flew an aeroplane before the Wright brothers, but never got credit for it. He is scowling at the mascots, and this makes me grin.

The one with vines is at D’vine, and we almost missed it. Nature is reclaiming the snarf.
