45/48 Felipe
Filed in Blogathon 2007Felipe is my fourth (and final) sponsor child. I did once have a fifth, but his mom packed the kids up, upped and left the town and the program.
Felipe lives in Brazil in one of the shanty towns. He loves to draw pictures and I often receive them as extras with his letters. It’s always his mom who writes, as he’s still young–about nine or ten, I think.
The program money is going to improving living conditions including providing basic needs such as clean water.
Felipe is a sweet kid and would never have met a colored pencil were it not for CCF. And while that might seem trivial–it gave him a place to express himself. And that, in my world view, is essential.
