Elder

This looks to me like elder flowers from the elderberry tree. I guess I’ll know for sure later on, when the berries appear.

These trees always remind me of Grandma. Every year we’d go and gather a bunch of berries, and Mam would boil them up into this foul concoction called elderberry syrup. Every year Grandma would be over the moon to receive her annual batch, and would use it as a pick-me-up for the rest of the year.
