Last year we arrived in Lodi around the time of the sandhill crane festival, but were too exhausted to attend. When I got to the Cosumnes River preserve at the end of March, they’d departed to their summer location, in northern California if I recall correctly. Fortunately, there were these nice statues for me to look at, finally. ;)
