Close to the end

Filed in Motorcycle Road Trips, Raven's Roads 2005

I’m nearing the end of chapter two of Raven’s Roads, and should be leaving tomorrow or the day after. It depends really on whether this weather system clears up as it’s meant to, or lingers. If it lingers, I can’t really set out, because it’s a big one and has a lot of Weather.

The convention stuff is now already so far in the past that I might just as well write it up as an article and post the link, with pictures, when it’s done. I semi-prefer doing the photo posts, because when time is limited, the pictures save a lot of writing.

It’s windy outside, with intermittent sunshine, and rather cold. I know that I will get caught in the next storm along sometime en route, so my goal is to get to Flagstaff - a large enough city that I can while away a few days with museums etc - before it gets too bad. If this system sticks, though, I am going to have to go into work mode, and use this as a mobile office because it will delay me a week. I’ll know more tomorrow morning.

I hope I get to leave, though, as I am feeling the pull of the road…and of home.
