Bend to Sisters
Filed in Landmark-Hunting, Motorcycle Road Trips, Ride-In 2005Yes, there’s a Brothers, OR and a Sisters, OR. The sisters in question are a trio of volcanoes…Brothers is a nicer town, unspoilt and “frontier”, while Sisters is an absolute tourist trap and a pain to get through.
Here’s the gorge where I made a phone post. You can’t really see how deep it is, but it gives you an idea. The gorge made my jaw drop, but the pullout isn’t at the most spectacular point.

View from a rest area outside Burns. Does that look suspiciously like a
volcano to you? Hang on to that thought.
