Being a jerky
Filed in Nevada 2006Seems like I am working my way through the world’s entire selection of jerkies. I should take notes. I had something called nuggets that I picked up in Austin, those were the best. Really tender and tasty. Jerky is what I eat on the road; it doesn’t melt, squash, and it would be very hard to make it go off. Though as I was riding in 100° heat today one never knows.
Not getting online was through unfamiliarity with configuring Linux wireless. I am all set now.
As I leave before many places open, I have been having cookies for breakfast, and then picking up a coffee and snack at a gas station later on. I’m avoiding eating out for two reasons: overloading my tummy and the expense. Tonight is bliss because there is a Safeway nearby. Shame there is no fridge, or I’d get more fresh stuff. Anyway, I had salad. Green fresh-ish stuff. Mmmmmmmmmm.
I’d better get back to my writing, and then I’ll try to post yesterday’s journal.
