An author’s life
Filed in My BooksRiding around, picking up flyers, vegetables, nodding to bikers, planning the next promotional trip…I will be in Los Angeles this time on Saturday. Allowing oneself a quiet brag at Kinko’s –I created a book. It’s an exciting thing.
Printing out labels, packing slips, preparing orders, guarded closely by cats, who have apparently never seen anything remotely so interesting as this new state of being: books all over the table and the floor. As long as they refrain from chewing the orders, all will be well.
The books came out well. Picking it up in my hands is like picking up a rare jewel–it’s magical, it’s exciting, it’s cause to have a moment of pride. It makes the hard labour of production so very, very worthwhile.
I hope that you will like it. I can’t wait to hear.
