A different sort of flag
Filed in Blog, Daily Photo
On a second visit to Cosumnes River Preserve, this time in April, Don spotted the little flags poked all over the area near the interpretive signs. I have no idea what they were for, but they looked kind of cute, flapping in the wind. So, we have his and hers matching photos now. ;)

They might be markers for seeds or seedlings that they planted in the bark.

That’s true!
Lucky little plantlets, with a waving flag to greet them :)
