Stormy weather is pretty, but it doesn’t help out the solar setup. We spent another day in the office, with a view of the lake.

We stopped at all the rest areas, deposited the bikes, poked around a little, then got stuck in Lodi, again.

We made a little stop on the way home and found solar panels after all. Hooray!

On our first day of full-timing, we met some other soon-to-be-fulltimers, bumped into a historical marker and visited all available rest areas.

I knew there was a state historical marker in the area, and we found it by following our noses. We also found a fishery, a museum, and a day camp.

We checked out solar options in Mount Shasta, went away to think about it, and left with two 70-pound batteries.

We’d been to Sims Flat as day users before, but this time we went back to camp. I got in an early morning landmark-hunt and we enjoyed a lush, green setting.

We found the best laundromat ever. It had wireless, snacks, playthings, big machines and, for an encore, furry stuff.
