Diagnosing a transmission in Redding
Diagnosing a transmission in Redding
Our dash down into Redding gave us a partial diagnosis and allowed us to stock up on goodies.
Field repairs
We swapped out a part, improved the transmission, and for an encore our inverter stopped working.
Cause and effect
We’re taking a short exploratory trip down to Redding. Redding isn’t what’s being explored: The behavior of the transmission is under observation.
Testing the line pressure
Don did some line pressure tests on Harvey the RV today, trying to track down the problem. As this involved switching on the engine, the cats soon vanished.
It’s good to use oil
Generally, when making pancakes, it’s good to add oil to the frying pan before you start cooking.
It never stops raining
It’s raining again, and it’s really, entirely, beyond old. It’s looking like we will skip the rest of spring and plunge, eventually, into roasting summer.
Murphy cascades
No two days are quite alike in an RV, but when you get a Murphy Cascade, it’s like being in an earthquake.
The transmission saga continues
The transmission saga continues
The RV transmission is not fixed, but it’s significantly better. Thus, we return to the drawing-board.
He’s alive! Alive!
It would appear that our transmission is fixed. Just for a change, we drove to Weaverville.
