We’re not going to be out by midnight. I didn’t really expect that we would be. There was a reason we chose to rent the van for two days. We did check out a storage place this morning, but the manager spoke such poor English that he couldn’t answer our questions, and the unit was [...]

Waiting

Waiting

Still waiting for U-Haul to call back. It’s been an hour, so I’m going to call and growl at them now. Meanwhile, I’ll drink tea.

Yeah, we’re trying to empty the freezer. Just rented a U-Haul. We can’t find storage around here that’s suitable. Most are closed on Sundays, anyway. So, it’s all going to a second Stockton unit which we will rent tomorrow. They darn well better not be full. We’ll wander over and pick up the U-Haul later [...]

I’m not sure when exactly, but I did something to my back/shoulder muscles at the storage shed. I can stand, I can sit/kneel; actually moving between those two positions is liable to create “ow” noises with accompanying muscle spasms and burning. I badly need to see a chiropractor, but that’s not going to happen.

My Blue Peter congratulatory letter. The original box for my laptop, complete with ID numbers. My childhood swimming certificates: over 30 years old, some of them.
