But wait! There’s more.

But wait! There’s more.

About three hours after dropping into bed the wake up call woke me up, and I staggered around until it was time to meet Skyring in the lobby. We were flying at roughly the same time, and while we’d had an offer to go in convoy with the Pedersens, I made a judgment call and [...]

Sunday night

Sunday night

Sunday night there was some sort of a function on at one of the rooftop gardens, and I though it was private and I wasn't invited until Heather wandered up, her usual full-on energetic self, and invited me. A monumental tale

A monumental tale

According to the mule driver, this monument to Calhoun has an amusing history. Charleston Gates

Charleston Gates

There is exquisite ironwork all around Charleston. Gates, “windows”, balconies. In fact, I believe it's Easter when they have the Big Event–garden tours. They’re quite pricey, but [...]

Sunday Morning

Sunday Morning

Sunday morning arrived too soon on the heels of late Saturday night (or early Sunday morning). Solittletime and I had multiple alarms set and just about made it down to the catered breakfast, which was decidedly yummy. I had tried grits for the first time on this trip and they were fine. I’m told that [...]
