I haven’t been bored this week.

I got into work on Sunday to find that my schedule had been changed to a much more manageable 24 hours a week. I don’t know how long that will continue, but I can happily put up with that for at least another week since next week is our last week in our home and one way or another, we will be moving.

Work is fun. All the seasonal stuff is coming in and there are pumpkins and glittery things. Don nicknamed me Glitter Girl when I got home on Friday. I went shopping with glitter in my hair. We had a potluck on Friday which was a resounding success with vast quantities of food. None of us could really move afterwards, but we did a lot of work and a lot of laughing. I am working with some truly earthy, smart people and I really appreciate that. ;)

Got my first paycheck! Woo-hoo! On the same day, I also got my first PayPerPost payment, which means I’ve been at that a month and it’s probably about time to do a review of how that’s working out for me. And, on Saturday, I got my first auto-approved post, meaning they think I do a good enough job that they don’t need to manually check everything first. :)

We made another trip to the storage unit and moved a lot of things around. It was quite productive and I really do believe that everything will now fit. It’s just a case of packing, and that’s not so hard, really. We have found a place that sells RVs cheaply and will stop by next week to see if we can find something. I have started emailng people on Craigslist about a place to live/store the vehicle for a few months while I take care of something I should have taken care of a long time ago. Remember, kiddies, procrastination always messes up your life.

I tried to have a relaxing day on Saturday, going for a nice ride to meet friends, but the bike broke down in a unique and dangerous fashion. Bummer. In general, I’m having some trouble relaxing. My days off were used catching up on stuff and the trip to the storage shed. Then suddenly I realize how tired I am. This is not good.

The ants are trying to take over the kitchen. I’ve tried cornmeal, pepper, vaseline, cleaning, and making the cats’ food bowl an island in a plate of water. Still, they keep coming. I’m getting angry. I don’t need niggles, when my entire life is full of huge changes and stress. The ants had better go away or there will be anticide soon.

We brought the Siamese in to see what the other cats would do. While we held her, the other cats came to check her out. The Siamese growled and hissed most impressively, but my cats just looked at her as if to say, “What’s your problem?” However, the Siamese did politely refrain from shredding me, so there’s hope.

I don’t want four cats.

    Four cats?

Neither did I, but there Strut is. At least I have no choice but to keep him outside (he’s already tangled with both boys). Good luck with rehoming, wherever that home may be!

Yup, but you have a house, and a yard. We’re going to be moving into an RV, and possibly into a trailer park with a one-pet restriction. May be a bit awkward.
