Pretty moon

Pretty moon

There’s a pretty fingernail moon out there, getting a sliver wider every day. I like watching the moon wax, and wane, though I don’t like what it implies, the o-so-rapid passing of time. I’ve been thinking lately about where that time goes, and have been trying to live my life with a little more awareness [...]

Forking around

Forking around

One of the tasks I would like to accomplish before leaving on Raven’s Roads 2 is to top up the oil in my bike’s forks. We abandoned the idea of actually changing the oil, since to drain the oil one must apparently turn the motorcycle upside down. Whomever designed it didn’t think to put in [...]

Disney as you don’t know and love it

Disney as you don’t know and love it

It was worth the walk. It was really, really worth the walk. My camera was forever in motion, as every step, every angle revealed some new shape, some new form, some new visual excitement. It is a building about which one can, and should, wax lyrical. It is a thing of beauty, that can only [...]

Teresa D, Mesquite, Texas

I started and finished reading my copy while I was in the hospital. It was a wonderful companion! Some of the funny parts left me in pain though – it’s difficult to laugh with a healing abdominal incision, but well worth it. I had a lot of trouble with the pain medication’s side-effects, and your [...]
