20 June Hawthorne

Filed in Nevada 2006

I overnighted in Hawthorne. It was a conservative place, surrounded by an army base and with symbols of patriotism everywhere. I stayed in the casino since most of the motels were either too far out to walk downtown
–I didn’t want to ride any more–or looked very shabby. There were some neat sights, but sadly, when I went to have dinner at the “wi-fi zone” local restaurant, the wi-fi wasn’t working. They said that it had blown over, or something.

PS - very punny ;-P
